MISRATA, FEBRUARY 23 – A new initiative of the Italian Cooperation is bringing relief to the Libyan health system. Two tons of medical kits sent by the Italian government were delivered yesterday to the Misrata Central Hospital.
The Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Perrone attended the arrival of boxes of materials labeled “Gift of the government of Italy”, together with the city authorities and the Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous force Commander.
Italy is already assisting the city of Misrata: last year then ministre of foreign affairs and current prime minister Paolo gentiloni offered a field hospital to treat fighters who are part of the Bunyan Marsous Operation against the so-called Islamic State (IS) and who were wounded in the battle against it.
