The geographical focus of the program will be in a region where the Italian Cooperation is already working on several sectors of cooperation (health- poverty alleviation- gender equality-migration).
“It is a very important signal” – said the Italian Ambassador to the Sudan, Fabrizio Lobasso -“Sudan is on its way for a more liberal information and communication system, as a tool of solidarity, inclusion and social integration: the tactic of the information control is slowly giving way to the strategy of knowledge management!”
The Minister of Information, Ahmed Bilal Osman, thanked the Government and the Italian Cooperation for the generous contribution and UNESCO for its efforts in implementing it; he also stressed that thanks to this kind of initiatives Sudan is gaining stability and peace, underlining that the Italian contribution is essential.
