ADDIS ABABA, SEPTEMBER 15 – The Ethiopian State Minister for Finance and Economic Cooperation, H.E. Admassu Nebebe, and the Ambassador of Italy to Ethiopia, Giuseppe Mistretta, signed today the joint declaration for the adoption of the “Ethio-Italian Cooperation Framework 2017-19”.
The agreement foresees projects and programmes all across Ethiopia in a three year period, with a budget of 125 Million of Euros. The priority sectors, which have been identified jointly by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the Ethiopian Authorities, are agro-industry, basic services, good governance and migration.
At the signing ceremony, the Director of the Addis Ababa Office of AICS, Ginevra Letizia, underlined that the Country Framework will promote synergies and partnerships with the Italian excellence, both in the private and public sectors, and it will also establish a close cooperation with the decentralized Ethiopian entities and with local communities.
