ROME, FEBRUARY 5, – Human rights, governance, children’s protection: the Italian Cooperation approved today a 1,5 million dollars project to finance a UNICEF initiative in the North African Country, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs announced today at the end of the first meeting of the Joint Committee for Cooperation in 2018. In total 42 projects were approved.
The important public aid package will be funded with a total of 267 million Euros and the initiatives will be spread in Africa in Africa, Middle East, Latin America and Asia focusing on healthcare, human rights, education, migration, governance, youth and women.
“Much substance and important deliberation. The Italian system for international cooperation is now fully functioning”, said Alfano welcoming the new Director of the Agency for Cooperation Giorgio Marrapodi whose appointment was announced earlier this year. (@OnuItalia)
